This was once again a night of what ifs for NKU again a Deanpark that side who took there chances when it mattered. NKU started really brightly especially Dawson who for the second match running tormented the opposition defence.
NKU took an early lead when a smart turn and finish from Finlay opened the scoring . For the next 20 minutes NKU dominated the match but misses from Brophy, Spence and Carling where to prove costly as just before half time Deanpark equalised when a long throw was nodded on and with the NKU defence all at sea the striker stroked home.
The second half turned into a disaster for the NKU defence when a couple of mistakes where both punished by the Deanpark attackers . NKU pushed to get back into the game but once again missed chances prove costly for NKU.
This was probably one of the poorest performances of the season by NKU who after recent performances where hoping to finish the season on a high with a few victories in the run in.
