OPM 3 - 2 NKU

A devastated NKU team let a 2 goal lead slip by conceding 3 late goals in the last 10 minutes.

NKU started brightly and took an early lead when Stewart slotted past the keeper after a great long ball from Drew. Kelly made it number 2 midway through the 2nd half as headed home from 12 yards after a great free kick delivery from Brown.

The away side were under more pressure in the second half as OPM pushed for a goal. I controversial penalty for the home side was put past the post and Devine had a great save from close range. NKU didnt help themselves as they continued to lose the ball cheaply in the opposition half and both Adams and Stewart failed to convert decent chances.

OPM continued to rally and finally the pressure paid off as they scored in 80 mins. They quickly followed up with a 2nd after a good volley from the full back into the corner of the net. Then with seconds to go, a contraversial free kick was headed home at the back post by the OPM centre forward.

An extremely disappointed NKU side will have to pick themselves up for the run in, in an attempt to build as big a points total as possible.
