North Kelvin 5k Fun Run
Sunday saw the 5th annual North Kelvin 5k fun run, with almost 3,000 runners and hundreds more supporters refusing to be put off with the typically wet April weather.

As in recent years North Glasgow Football Development Group were invited along to take a table in the marquee and provide some entertainment with our 'beat the goalie' competition.

Myself (Ryan) and Del were tasked with manning the table and providing info on the club to interested parties, with particular interest in the 'Wee Dribblers' as well as our 1997's boys team and our new 2002 team. Hopefully we will see those we spoke to today in the coming weeks and welcome them into the club.

The clubs number 1 goalkeeper (sorry Si) Div was unavailable today due to the imminent arrival of little baby Sidney, so in stepped Bobby and young Andy to fill Divit's gloves - such a challenge it takes two people to do it. Both Barratts did a great job today and kept the kids entertained with their goalkeeping heroics - even the boys from the Army couldn't get passed Andy!

Overall, it was a hugely enjoyable and succesful day for all involved. With a very big well done going to Mark, Pauline and Robert for taking part in the race itself. With the man with the perma-tan coming 5th out of 2,900 runners very impressive feat indeed.
